Bioethical Consultation

The Dominican Order, also know as the Order of Preachers, has been dedicated to proclaiming the truth of the Gospel for over 800 years, and though the needs of the audience may change, that truth, who is Jesus Christ remains eternally. In our time, there is no need more pressing than those at the frontier of the medical profession, and it is with a full understanding of the good that can come about through pursuing both faith and reason that the Dominican Friars Healthcare Ministry offers bioethical consultation.

Promoting the Dignity of the Human Person

By the example of this ministry and also through education and ethical consultation, the Dominican Friars Health Care Ministry seeks to promote the true dignity of the human person as made in the image and likeness of God.

This is the primary focus of our work in ethical consultation and education, and it centers around making the teachings of the Catholic Church on human dignity – particularly the works of Blessed John Paul II – known and lived.
