Adoration
Adoration is the highest act and purpose of religious worship, which is directed in love and reverence to God alone in acknowledgement of his infinite perfection and goodness, and of his total dominion over creatures. (From the Catholic Word Book)
Dominicans have always had a great devotion to the presence of Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament (the Eucharist). The Dominican Saint Thomas Aquinas is the author of many of the great Eucharistic Hymns of our Church, as well as the magnificent Divine Office of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
A revered devotion of our faith and highly encouraged by Blessed Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament offers the faithful an opportunity to be with the Lord face to face, to gaze upon His Beauty and contemplate His wondrous presence with love and a heart full of praise.
Adoration is held every Sunday from 11:00 – 11:45AM and on Wednesdays following the Noon Mass until the 5:15PM Mass and then after 5:15PM Mass until sung Night Prayer at 7:45PM. Please join us in worship of Our Lord, Who delights to be with us.
