Rosary

“With the Rosary, the Christian people sits at the school of Mary and is led to contemplate the beauty on the face of Christ and to experience the depths of his love. Through the Rosary the faithful receive abundant grace, as though from the very hands of the Mother of the Redeemer.” (Rosarium Virginis Mariae)

Begun by Our Holy Father Saint Dominic and dear to the heart of every Dominican, the Rosary is one of Catholicism’s most beautiful devotions. In the Rosary we enter more deeply into the life of Christ by meditating upon the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary.

At Saint Catherine’s the Holy Rosary is prayed Monday through Saturday at 11:40AM, followed by the Angelus (or the Regina Coeli during the Easter season. The Rosary is also prayed on Sundays beginning at 3:00PM.  Additionally, the Feast of the Holy Rosary on October 7th is a special celebration for this Dominican parish.

A visitor to the Parish Offices will notice the icon of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, a particular devotion to many, especially the parish staff. Our pastor, Father Jordan Kelly, O.P., has dedicated his pastorate and placed our Parish under the protection of Our Lady through her particular title of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.   As a Dominican parish, our public devotion of the Mother of Word Incarnate can never be enough!

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you!
